About Six Sigma Global Institute

An online platform for Lean Six Sigma certification, the Six Sigma Global Institute (SSGI) was founded by University of New Hampshire professor Barry Shore, PhD, and has been utilized by numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Hewlett-Packard, Disney, Deloitte, and Nintendo. While several academic institutions charge in excess of $1,000 to certify individuals in business efficiency processes, SSGI programs range from $99 to $699.

SSGI offers Yellow, Green, Black, and Master Black Belt certification, the last of which is the peak level of global recognition for the Lean Six Sigma program and takes between five and 10 weeks to complete on average. A valuable certification for aspiring leaders, Master Black Belt-certified professionals earn an average salary of $140,000 per year.

The Master Black Belt certification offered by SSGI, like its other courses is self-paced with web-based training modules. This course features topics such as project management, sampling and process control, hypothesis testing, and risk mitigation. Master Black Belt certification requires prior completion of Black Belt training.
